Plant iT web portal: Web reporting applications   The browser-based Plant iT web portal allows users to simply call up reports online via a PC, tablet and smartphone. It is not necessary to install third-party software, e.g. Java, Silverlight or Flash.

Making the most of potential

The Plant iT web portal enables access to Plant iT reports from several production servers and to the reports generated by the SQL Server Reporting Services. As a result, reports created via Microsoft Reporting Services can process data from various sources (e.g. third-party databases, OLAP, web services). All the reports from all of the sources are displayed here in the same user interface along with their parameters. The web portal also saves key parameters (e.g. time period, plant, material) and pre-assigns them for future use. The repeated entry of input values can thus be avoided or reduced. A further decisive advantage of the web portal is the Plant iT user management. Users can be generated centrally and once for server-related web applications. Rights management then takes place in the centralised Plant iT Configuration Manager. Furthermore, the web portal is already included with the basic systems Plant Direct iT, Plant Liqu iT, Plant Batch iT and Plant Integrate iT.
